An opportunity has arisen for an engaging, dynamic and highly motivated Office Manager and Project Support Officer to organise the Service Improvement Team office and support a variety of projects to promote the delivery of key transformation objectives within Wirral University Teaching Hospital and its wider health economy partners.

If successful you will work to provide professional management of the Trust’s Service Improvement Team (SIT), with respect to the organisation and governance of work streams that comprise the programme portfolio and support and enable the development and implementation of such frameworks for new programmes. As the office manager of the SIT, the post holder will be expected to provide the SIT with the benefit of their professional insight and knowledge. In addition the post holder will have responsibility for delivery of small stand-alone projects or work-streams within Programmes.

We are looking for the post holder to contribute to the evolution of a culture of continuous improvement within the day-to-day operations of the Service Improvement Team. You will also provide ongoing project support to the Chair and members of the Programme Board applying the principles of project management to the evolution of the Programme Board as a key forum for programme governance.

The post holder’s work will be an exemplar of positive action and advocacy for the portfolio representing the Programme Board. This will include providing reports and information as required and escalating non-compliance in accordance with agreed governance frameworks. The post holder will also manage and coordinate the effective day-to-day operation of the SIT function with regard to office workflow, infrastructure, planning, delivery and office resources.
