Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) is an ambitious, organisation positioned to deliver real improvements in safety, outcomes and experience for its local population of 440,000.

BCCG is responsible for planning, organising and purchasing NHS funded healthcare for people living in Bedfordshire. It is run and led by local clinicians, including GP's, nurses and hospital doctors. Our overall aims are to ensure innovative, responsive and effective clinical commissioning and that our population has access to the highest quality healthcare providing the best patient within available resources. We achieve this by working in partnership with our member practices and localities, with patients and the public, with local councils and other healthcare providers.


We are looking for a highly motivated Care Education Treatment Review (CETR) Coordinator to support the Children's Commissioning service within Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) to further drive forward the Transforming Care agenda to support Children and Young people (CYP) with a Learning Disability (LD) and/or Autism to avoid unnecessary admission to specialised in-patient hospitals. Crucially this also involves ensuring early and robust discharge transition planning for CYP back to their community settings as highlighted within the NHS 10 year plan.

The role involves working with parents, carers, health and social care professionals and other providers as well as BCCG and wider across Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes (BLMK) STP alliance to support partnered working and a joined up approach for CYP with LD and or Autism. The applicant will possess sensitive and experienced interpersonal and communication skills to be able to ensure successful outcomes for CYP and their families.

The post holder will chair CETR meetings, requiring the ability sensitively challenge and hold partners to account, whilst promoting creative thinking in planning care for CYP, ensuring that their voice is heard and valued.

The successful applicant will have considerable experience in working autonomously and in managing their own caseload/workload and applicants are welcome across the Education, Health and Care sectors.
