Band 6 - Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, Woodland Neonatal Unit, WACS

Job Reference: 360-D-6814

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust
Woodland Neonatal Unit
SCBU / NICU, Watford
£31,921 - £39,029 pa inc HCA

As an employer of nearly 5,000 staff, West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is the place to be. Having have been shortlisted over the last three years for 18 national people related awards and most recently winning the Nursing Times award for Best UK Employer 2019 we are immensely proud of our achievements.

We have lots to shout about! Despite having lots of challenges, we’ve worked really hard to make West Herts a great place to work. The good news is we’re really starting to see the results of our efforts. We’re one of the few NHS organisations across the UK to have achieved a phenomenal 0% nurse vacancy rate within our adult inpatient areas. We have also recently secured over £450m capital funding to transform our sites and give our patients and colleagues within #teamwestherts the working environment they deserve.

The Woodland Neonatal Unit at Watford Hospital is a busy local neonatal unit (LNU).

We have 30 cots in total, 3 ITU, 5 HDU and 16 special care cots. In addition, we manage a 6 bedded Transitional Care Unit.

We are looking for full time or part time Band 6 Neonatal Nurses, who want to work with our well established friendly neonatal team, to deliver the highest standards of neonatal care.

This role requires ambition and drive as well as empathy and exceptional communication skills.

Are you a neonatal nurse, qualified in speciality, with experience within a Neonatal setting, who is looking for a role where your development will be our priority? If so, you should consider Woodland Neonatal Unit for your next post.
