We are currently recruiting Band 5 Nurses to join our highly committed team in HDU. As a trust that is expanding in size, now is the time to help us shape our future to be The First for Orthopaedic Care.

Our 7 bedded high dependency unit provides high quality care for adult patients who have undergone complex orthopaedic surgery, and need an increase in care due to pre-existing morbidity, and requiring level 2 care.

We have a strong commitment to education, training, mentorship and performance review and will provide a comprehensive package of learning and skills-based competency, supported by a senior clinical staff and dedicated Professional Development Nurse for HDU. All new starters will be offered a Registered Practitioners Induction Programme and period of supernumerary practice. If you are a newly qualified staff nurse you will also be allocated a Preceptor to support you and access to our Trust Preceptorship process. Our training programme will equip you with the skills and competencies, for changing techniques and new healthcare developments to provide the best of care for your patients. On completion of clinical competencies, further academic qualifications will be available for your on going development.
