Sometimes it’s not just a job we’re advertising, it’s a brand new opportunity to shape and develop a service into something bigger and better than it’s ever been!

Our ‘hot off the press’ new Shift Coordinator roles in our Emergency Department are exactly that. Developed as part of an innovative re-think of how we provide front of house services, the role cuts across all areas of ED, coordinating people and care to make sure the patient comes out on top. These transformative posts are integral to making big changes in how we provide Emergency and Acute care and we’re very excited about them.

You’ll need to be a super-organised Registered Nurse who can bring new perspectives to our existing team, so personal vision and sound leadership skills are an essential. You should have a thoughtful approach to work and be skilled in dealing with external agencies and other stakeholders, utilising your experience to achieve shared successes both at the Trust and across the Health and Social Care landscape. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate previous management experience and experience in ED and Acute care. The role will require shift working.

We’re not going to hide the fact that these jobs exist inside an increasingly challenged environment and you’ll need to be competent, professional and resilient to succeed, but we believe they will provide big rewards in terms of job satisfaction and professional development for those that do.

And you won’t be on your own! ED has a reputation across the Trust as a tight-knit supportive team, you’ll have the support of the whole MDT, as well as your Nurse Leaders (the Head of Nursing is particularly excited about your arrival).

If you’re looking for a new challenge in a place that values your passion, and desire to learn, and you’re seeking colleagues who are eager to take on fresh challenges as a team we think you’ve found the right job.
