Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford. Following an NHSI initiative to establish 29 Pathology networks across England the University Hospital of North Midlands is currently working closely with Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts to establish a Pathology network across Staffordshire and Cheshire.


Applications are invited for one year Physician Associate Internship posts at Mid Cheshire Hospital Trust. The successful applicant will be working within the Rheumatology department, predominately supporting the consultant to deliver care within an outpatient setting.

The post is particularly suitable for newly qualified PA’s though applications from more experienced practitioners will also be welcomed.

Clinical and Educational mentorship will be provided covering all aspects of clinical practice. Successful applicants will also be expected to develop a portfolio demonstrating competence in appropriate areas through workplace based assessment. It is anticipated that following the year, applicants will apply to substantive positions within the Trust.
