We are looking for a Band 6 Nurse with an interest in Infection Prevention and control
to join our friendly, proactive and dynamic team!

Our Service

The team works closely with all partners in the Leeds health economy to share evidence-based practice and expertise, develop and implement policies to prevent, control and reduce HCAI, carry out training and audit and offer specialist advice and support. Work is also jointly undertaken with the Local Authority to investigate and manage outbreaks of communicable disease within the wider Leeds community.

As a Band 6 Nurse within the team you would be responsible for a portfolio within the Team, this will be supported by other team members and will focus on mainly working with the adult business unit. You will perform clinical audit, provide training sessions and work with teams to find solutions with all issues in relation to infection prevention and control.

This is an exciting and varied role that incorporates many different aspects of Infection Prevention and control which is delivered to a wide range of patients/ service users across the city.

A full tailored induction programme will be supported and on-going development encouraged. 

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

You will be a registered staff nurse with excellent communication, organisational, problem solving and IT skills. You will be able to present to groups of 20 staff.
