We are seeking applicants for the positon of Charge Nurse in Acute Services. These appointments are predominantly night duty positions, and are peripatetic in nature. The successful candidates will be required to evidence significant clinical experience and leadership ability. The post will require the individuals to work across our Acute Services in a flexible manner out of office hours to meet service needs, ensuring the safety and quality of care to our service users as well as safety and wellbeing of our staff.

The primary duties will be to have an oversight of activity and resources at night time, coordinate resources, undertake clinical duties where necessary, and address any urgent bed management issues. Whilst the post is predominantly night duty there will be a requirement to undertake an agreed amount of daytime shifts in a given period.

This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
