An opportunity has arisen to work as a Quality Assurance and Clinical Service Lead at Rhodes Wood Hospital, Hatfield.

Rhodes Wood Hospital houses two services. The first is a specialist inpatient eating disorder unit for children and adolescents aged between 8-18 years. It is a Tier Four service for those with severe and complex eating disorders that have not responded well to community treatment approaches. Anorexia nervosa is most commonly treated. The second is a specialist inpatient neurodevelopmental and learning disability service for young people aged between 8-18yrs.

 

The role includes;

  • Supporting the Hospital Director by providing leadership and management responsibility of the hospital and the multi-disciplinary teams
  • Joint responsibility for the delivery of excellent care and operational performance, whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers
  • Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met, and facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, and also reflect market trends and evidence based practice
  • As a member of the senior management team, you will contribute to the strategic development of the hospital, ensuring adherence to the hospital’s objectives and business plan
  • Assisting the Hospital Director in promoting and enhancing the hospital’s reputation for care and service 

Please note: this is a full time role, Monday-Friday 9-5 with the exception that one late is worked per week and one weekend per month. You will be on call in this role.

 

You will:

  • Have an excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential), together with an understanding of mental health issues and a passion for improving clinical quality and patient care
  • Have strong commercial acumen, in order to help support successful service delivery and development, people management, budget control, business development, and revenue generation
  • Have an inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership, is a critical factor in the success of this role, in order to provide direction and implement change
