We are currently seeking Bank Healthcare Assistants to join our Specialist Brain Injury Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Service at The Huntercombe Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre - Nottingham, located in the town of Hucknall, 7 miles from Nottingham City Centre and just 2 miles from the M1 Motorway.

The centre is located on the outskirts of Hucknall and is a specialist centre providing long-term person-centred care and support for male and female adults (aged 18+ years), with either a brain injury or complex neurological condition.

Throughout their stay with us, our patients are encouraged to make individual choices about all aspects of life at the centre and to be as independent as possible.

Hucknall Neurological Care Centre is easily accessible by road and is within 4 miles of the M1 motorway, just six miles from Nottingham City Centre it is a 5 minute walk to the tram and a 10 minute walk to the train.

As a Bank Health Care Assistant working in our Specialist Brain Injury Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Service your main duties will be:

  • To assist the senior trained staff in their day-to-day duties and clinical related tasks
  • Maintaining and developing a high standard of care for our patients/residents by being aware of their individual needs and care programmes
  • Contributing towards effective communication, by reporting to the nurse in charge any information given by the patient/resident or relative of any incident or observation which may affect our patients physical/mental well-being
  • Providing practical assistance to our patients/residents in carrying out everyday living tasks whilst encouraging them to develop their daily living skills and realising their potential to live as independently as they find possible
  • To be actively involved with the day to day routine in individual and group activities
  • To practice within a legal framework encompassing statutory, organisational policy and guidelines.
