Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) is an ambitious, organisation positioned to deliver real improvements in safety, outcomes and experience for its local population of 440,000.

BCCG is responsible for planning, organising and purchasing NHS funded healthcare for people living in Bedfordshire. It is run and led by local clinicians, including GP's, nurses and hospital doctors. Our overall aims are to ensure innovative, responsive and effective clinical commissioning and that our population has access to the highest quality healthcare providing the best patient within available resources. We achieve this by working in partnership with our member practices and localities, with patients and the public, with local councils and other healthcare providers.


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bedfordshire CCG's Corporate Governance Team. This role will ensure that the CCG operates to the highest standards of integrated governance and that the CCG Governing Body and other decision making groups operate to the highest standards of public values of openness, integrity, accountability, honesty and leadership; and that the CCG complies with all relevant legislation and guidance regarding corporate governance and the conduct of formal business.

The post holder will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the CCG's Governing Body meetings and other sub-committees; advising the governing body on governance matters; managing the CCG's statutory requirements; and giving advice and support to senior management, Lay Members and GP Members.
