We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work within our Neighbourhood Team in the Droitwich and Ombersley area. The role will predominantly involve providing the treatment and rehabilitation of patients, including implementing treatment programmes, outlined by the qualified physiotherapists as well as supporting the physiotherapists with individual treatments.

The Neighbourhood Team provides an integrated approach to managing housebound patients which include admission prevention, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (OT) interventions. We work very closely with GP’s, Social Services and Mental Health colleagues based around the patient’s individual needs. As part of this Team you will be expected to undertake some Nursing and OT interventions as well. You will be regularly working single handed in patient’s homes.

There is a well-developed appraisal system and continuing professional development is actively encouraged. Regular Clinical Supervision is provided.

It is essential applicants have experience of working with people in a caring environment; previous experience working in a therapy environment/working alongside therapists would be beneficial. A good standard of general education is required, an NVQ Level 3 in Care or a NVQ Level 2 in Care and agreement to undertake NVQ Level 3 in Care when a training place is available is also essential.You will be expected to complete the Care Certificate on appointment if not already held.

It is also essential applicants can meet the travel requirements of the post.

PLEASE NOTE: All new appointments are subject to 6 months’ probation period.

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
