We are seeking to appoint a consultant community paediatrician with specialist expertise in Physical Disability / Sensory Impairment / Complex Long Term Conditions / Palliative care. You will take joint lead on physical disability (movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions and acquired brain injury) along with another grid trained Neurodisability Consultant.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of community child health and child and adolescent mental health staff, within a highly innovative integrated neurodevelopment and disability service. We have full electronic health records and operate a paperless system. This is a new post to further enhance an award winning community paediatric team.

We have a strong multidisciplinary team for complex health needs (Community Paediatrics, therapy services, paediatric psychology, community children’s nursing, neurodisability specialist nursing, specialist family support and Dietetics). We have developed joint clinics with Paediatrics Orthopaedics and Physiotherapy to provide full range of movement disorder service including Botox injections.

CPFT is a member of Cambridge University Health Partners and as such provides excellent teaching and research opportunities in partnership with the University of Cambridge. We are approved for provision of Higher Specialty Training in Community Child Health through the grid system.

Peterborough has excellent road and rail links with London (50 minutes to Kings Cross) and the North. The area is surrounded by beautiful country side and has a number of excellent state and private schools.
