This is an exciting time for the NHS across the Fylde Coast. We are at the cutting edge of developing new ways of delivering health services, with ambitious plans to integrate health and care across the area.

As part of this journey the two Fylde Coast Clinical Commissioning Groups have come together to support the development of “Healthier Fylde Coast”, the local integrated care partnership. The Strategic Planning & Acute Commissioning team has responsibility for managing planned and unplanned care alongside corporate performance and QIPP.

During this important period of change we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Urgent & Emergency Care Commissioning Manager to support the CCGs’ and wider ICP in transforming Urgent & Emergency Care services and, delivering the priorities and outcomes set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. The role supports the CCGs’ in driving transformation as well as ensuring value for money in commissioning services. The post holder will need strong relationship and stakeholder management skills and must be able to work in a matrix structure.

You will take an active role in refining and developing new and improved pathways, spreading best practice and leading on a number of work streams linked to the Urgent & Emergency Care transformation programme. You will have experience of communicating highly complex, sensitive and contentious information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate a flexible, professional and organised approach, with the ability to work on multiple requests simultaneously whilst taking a calm and pragmatic approach, as well as the ability to understand new areas of work quickly.

The role will also provide support to the delivery of other programmes of work including QIPP and RightCare
