A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in Leeds CAMHS for a Senior Clinical Practitioner to work in the Transitions part of the service.
Leeds CAMHS was ahead of the game when it came to recognising that the transition between child and adult services for young people with mental health difficulties can be extremely stressful and challenging. Approximately 9 years ago, CAMHS established a dedicated transition service to support young people known to them through this difficult period.
The team, whilst small, has gone from strength to strength and following the current post holder moving to another position within the service, a vacancy has arisen for an experienced mental health practitioner to lead and work within this well respected service.

The successful post holder will have:

. A professional background
. Current professional registration
. Experience of working within a mental health setting
. The ability to work with young people with complex mental health presentations and often high risk
. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work toward deadlines
. The ability to advocate on behalf of young people with adult services and to maintain and strengthen professional relationships with services in the 3rd sector, primary and secondary mental health provision

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48.83 or Standard £30) from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
