The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services from one acute hospital in Guildford and two adult community services hospitals across Surrey. The Trust serves a population of over 330,000 across south west Surrey. We are a specialist tertiary cancer centre, offering state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services to a population of up to two million.

A regional cancer centre for Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire, it is also a tertiary specialist centre for ENT and Maxillofacial surgery. It attracts referrals from across the whole country for other specialties (i.e. urology). The Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit (key-hole surgery) is one of only three such training units in the UK.

The Trust has strong links with the nearby University of Surrey and staff are well supported if they wish to undertake further study. As well as this, staff are able to develop and enhance skills and knowledge by undertaking post-qualification support and training at the hospital’s dedicated Education Centre. These are just some of the training and development opportunities available to staff.

The Trust celebrated its 150th birthday on 27 April 2016.


IT Service Desk Analyst – Band 4

Our IT Service Desk Analysts are the first point of contact between Trust users and the IT Department and are responsible for handling all 1st line technical support issues. Duties primarily include the logging, triaging and progressing of calls right through to resolution, ensuring our customers’ needs are satisfied at every opportunity. Could this be you?

Whilst an understanding of NHS environments and systems is desirable, on-the-job training will be given to the successful candidate. Currently based in Guildford, Surrey the successful candidate(s) will have a flexible attitude and be expected to cover the core hours 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, as part of a shift pattern to a maximum of 37.5hrs per week.
