Cheshire Pathology Services is a forward looking collaborative of the Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts that has been providing pathology services for this area for the last 12 years, and as part of the NHSI initiative are also currently looking at a proposed larger Pathology network with the University Hospital of North Midlands.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cheshire Pathology Services for an Anticoagulation manager.

The role is the oversight of the delivery of Anticoagulation services across East and Mid Cheshire. The post is full time and reports to the Pre-analytic Service Lead.

The post holder will be required to provide specialist expertise, operational management, and delivery of the service within community environments. They will attend meetings as required, identify and implement change and quality improvements specifically for the development of the anticoagulation service. The role is split between the two sites of the collaborative at Leighton Hospital and Macclesfield Hospital Pathology departments.

Applications are invited from candidates with HCPC registration, preferably with experience in a senior role. A relevant postgraduate qualification (MSc or equivalent) is desirable.

Following an NHSI initiative to establish 29 Pathology networks across England the University Hospital of North Midlands is currently working closely with Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts to establish a Pathology network across Staffordshire and Cheshire.
