(Equivalent to IM3)

Watford General invites you to work with us delivering excellent care to our patients whilst at the same time working with you to help you achieve your long-term career goals. We have supported previous Clinical Fellows in becoming consultants via both the CCT and CESR routes.

We have created some new exciting rotational posts in General and Specialty Medicine, to include respiratory, cardiology, neurology, rheumatology, dermatology, haematology and endocrinology. These 12 month posts will include 6 months of general medicine training and 6 months of speciality medicine training. Appropriate educational supervision will be offered to the post-holder with a view to attaining specific PDP goals in line with the post holder’s career aspirations. They will be strongly encouraged to participate in research and quality improvement with a publication and/or presentation at local, national or international educational meetings.

These posts would be suitable for trainees who have completed CMT training with a view to commencing speciality training but who wish additional experience in acute and general medicine and the speciality of interest.

The post holder will be required to work as part of the ward and contribute to the Registrar on-call rota which will attract the appropriate on call supplement.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
