As a newly qualified staff nurse you will also be allocated a Preceptor to support you and access to our Trust Preceptorship process.

Ward 4

Ward 4: Will be 23-bedded inpatient ward (state of the art new building) providing specialist arthroplasty services to patients. The ward will work closely with the Trust’s research department and participate in the latest research projects to promote the patient’s journey.

The Woodlands Suite

The Woodlands Suite: Is a 7 bedded private suite that provides a range of private orthopaedic care for patients who wish to either self-fund their surgery or hold private health insurance. The Woodlands Suite also accommodates NHS patients who wish to pay for the private room facilities. It is located and has a close working relationship with Ward 12.



Our 7 bedded high dependency unit provides high quality care for adult patients who have undergone complex orthopaedic surgery, and need an increase in care due to pre-existing morbidity, and requiring level 2 care.



The ‘Admissions and Day Case’ Unit is a 20 bedded day-case unit caring for elective day cases and injection patients, combining an admissions area which receives all elective orthopaedic surgical in patients for the hospital prior to their surgery.
