CONSULTANT CONTRACT with a SALARY RANGE of: £77,913 to £105,042 per annum

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust – Forensic CAMHS is looking to recruit a high calibre consultant to work with the service.

As a Trust we’re passionate about helping people reach their potential and live well in their communities by providing high-quality care in the right place at the right time. If you’re kind, caring and compassionate; you put the person first and in the centre; you know that families and carers matter; you are respectful, honest, open and transparent; you seek to improve and aim to be outstanding; and you’re relevant today and ready for tomorrow, we want you. How we work is as important to us as what we do. Our values and how we behave really matter to us.

We are committed to attracting highly motivated and skilled staff who will work to continuously improve the quality of the service. The most recent CQC/HMIP inspection was extremely positive.

We have a positive reputation for providing a conducive and supportive working environment and pride ourselves in the excellent collaborative working relationships through the organisation. We also pride ourselves in partnership working and won the Nursing Times Awards 2017 in category Child and Adolescent Services. We are nationally renowned for our forensic CAMH services, have contributed to NICE guidelines and hosted national conferences in Wakefield.

The right candidate can be from a child and adolescent psychiatry or adult forensic psychiatry background and will join an established Yorkshire and Humber wide community forensic CAMH service. While previous experience of working with children and adolescents in the criminal justice system would be an advantage it is not necessary. The candidate will be based in Leeds (Wetherby YOI or Adel Beck) and Wakefield (the community team). Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining specialist registration at the time of interview.

This is a full time, ten PA post. A further responsibility allowance of one PA will be considered for suitable candidates who wish to assume a clinical leadership role within the service.

It is anticipated that there will also be excellent opportunities for you to be involved in research, specifically in connection with secure estate contract that this post is linked with.

*Please note that we are advertising a second Consultant post in Child and Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry on NHS Jobs. One of the two post holders will be expected to undertake Tier 3 CAMHS Consultant on call commitments. The job reference number is SSW571*

Continuing professional development is also very important to us and you will be strongly encouraged to continue with further education in accordance with the recommendations of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

We have Improving Working Lives status and Investor in People accreditation and are also fully committed to providing flexible careers arrangements.

As an added bonus the Trust lies in the heart of Yorkshire and on the doorstep of the stunning Peak District National Park, the Pennines and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Yorkshire has so much to offer as a place to live and work from its lively cities, quaint villages, rolling countryside and stunning coastline.

Stately homes, theatres, museums and art galleries are just a few of the attractions for you to discover as well as our famous Yorkshire welcome!
