Executive Personal Assistant

We are recruiting to the position of Executive Personal Assistant on a 12 month temporary basis, 37.5 hours per week, based on Agenda for Change Band 4, and you would be working across all of our sites in North Cumbria, with your main base being Carlisle.

The two Trusts have a joint Executive Team and this Executive Personal Assistant position will be part of the Corporate Administration Team, providing support to the Executive and Non-Executive team.

The Trusts provide a comprehensive range of acute hospital, mental health, learning disabilities and community services.

We’re therefore looking for a self-motivated Executive Personal Assistant to assist our Executive/Non-Executive Team.

Essentially you will have secretarial experience at senior level, educated to a minimum of GCSE English Language or equivalent; possess advanced keyboard skills in Microsoft products, particularly Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. You will have previous experience of minute-taking, meeting co-ordination, multiple diary management and an appropriate typing qualification or proven experience. An NVQ 3 in Business Administration would be advantageous.

You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work as a team player, but have the ability to work on your own initiative, and have the ability to remain calm during periods of pressure.

The post is fixed term for a period of up to 12 months initially, with a view to the post becoming permanent following approval and an equitable recruitment process.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
