We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic In-patient General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our established Adult Mental Health team in Portsmouth. The post covers The Orchards Inpatient unit and is there to provide clinical expertise and leadership to the teams.

The successful applicant will take a key role in the Adult Psychiatry service, providing clinical leadership in which they will be working and supporting current and future service developments. This post offers a varied job working closely with the multidisciplinary team. We put a high emphasis on quality of care, peer support and on clinical engagement in service development and management.

We have two In-patient consultant posts and this post would cover one geographical sector of the city, with caseloads matched to ensure parity between the posts. Successful applicant will also provide clinical leadership and input to the CRHT; so that patients are able to experience continuity along their acute care journey. Other In-patient Consultant

Applications must be registered with the General Medical Council and have completed or be within 3 months of completion of specialist higher training in Adult Mental Health.
