This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and expanding team working within the NHS. We are seeking enthusiastic experienced GPs (GMC Registered and qualified to practice in the UK) who would like to work in General Practice to work alongside well-established teams in the Southwark area.

The role will be split between practice based face to face consultations and remote home based telephone consultations. You will be assisting patients with accessing care in a flexible manner but also providing the opportunity for the successful candidates to have a flexible work rota that fits in with their own requirements whilst maintaining the benefits of working alongside a practice based team.

The Role

  • Mixed sessions agreed with you to suit your availability, consisting of practice (F2F) and home based (Telephone/Skype consultations)
  • Minimum of once per week, hold a practice site-based clinic for any follow-up, Face-to-face examinations
  • Supported by a practice based team of GPs, ANPs, PNs, Pharmacists, Practice business manager
  • Full two-week training induction with extended appointment times for your first month so you can integrate with the practice systems and processes.
  • Protected study/audit time/peer review time
  • Session hours are flexible
  • Medical records should comply with best practice with the addition of extra annotation associated with the safe provision of tele-medicine.
  • You will work collaboratively with our practice teams and our Clinical Lead on all aspects of clinical quality
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Experienced telephone consultation
  • Embrace technology – Skype/electronic patient consulting methods
  • You will be expected to attend one clinical meeting per week ( this could be scheduled to be the same day as your practice based face to face session(s)
  • You will be expected to attend one protected learning time session and one educational meeting per month
