Trust Registrar in Palliative Care/ AOS  and Haematology

Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are looking for quality applications for an enthusiastic and dynamic ST3-7 Trust Grade Registrar to work with the Palliative Care, Acute Oncology and Haematology teams.

The successful post holder will undertake outpatient clinics, ward referrals and in-patient care.

You will be on the registrar rota including on call duties out of hours and at weekends. You will be supported by consultants and juniors ranging from foundation to core trainees.

There is a daily consultant ward round/review of in-patients with significant support provided by senior clinicians allowing supported development, as well as regular teaching, including the opportunity to attend teaching. In addition there is an active medical grand round and department meetings which may include educational presentations.

There is the opportunity to be involved with national and departmental audits.

As part of this post the candidate will have

    • A named Educational Supervisor
    • 10 Study Days Leave per annum
    • £500 of Study Leave Allowance per annum
    • Access to an e-portfolio
    • An assigned Appraiser and access to Multi-Source Feedback 360° (if required) and an Appraisal System
