DIVISIONAL QUALITY GOVERNANCE MANAGER

 

Full Time – 37.5 hours

The Theatres, Anaesthetics, Surgery and Critical Care Division is seeking an inspiring future leader to play a vital role in aligning the deliverables associated with the five key quality governance domains (Patient Safety, Patient Engagement and Experience, Clinical Effectiveness, Clinical Quality Improvement and Regulation & Accreditation) to ensure that these domains are more aligned to the Division’s objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a catalyst for change and help promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the Division.

The successful applicant will have had experience of working with national standards, quality systems and will have had experience of monitoring and reporting on key result areas that demonstrate quality and performance against business indicators.

The Divisional Quality Governance Manager will support the Divisional Triumvirate and Associate Director of Quality in assisting to provide improvement strategies and leadership for all aspects of patient safety, clinical effectiveness and quality improvement across the Trust. To assist on leading in the development, implementation and evaluation and linking of patient safety, clinical effectiveness and quality improvement strategies, thereby ensuring high quality, safe patient centred services that meet the needs of patients /carers and the public and the current and future business of the Trust.

The successful candidate must hold an up to date clinical nursing qualification and be registered with the relevant professional body. They should possess excellent numerical and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work with a wide range of clinical staff and managers at all levels. Previous clinical audit and quality improvement experience is desirable, as is the ability to work without close supervision. You should be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience
