Alder Hey Children's NHS FT is seeking to recruit a Lead Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Parenteral Nutrition (PN). This is a new position and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and providing clinical pharmacy services to patients on PN, overseeing medicines optimisation for patients requiring PN and providing training and support to medical, nursing and other staff within the multi-disciplinary team on PN and related issues. They will also be responsible for developing and undertaking Independent Prescribing of PN and associated medicines.

Alder Hey is a stand-alone paediatric hospital located on the outskirts of Liverpool with a national reputation for excellence. It recently featured in the award-winning BBC documentary “Hospital”. The pharmacy team are forward thinking, innovative, caring and compassionate and work really well together. Our team of over 30 pharmacists work in the Aseptic Unit, Medicines Information, Purchasing department and busy out-patient and in-patient dispensaries as well as on wards, in clinics and within specialist teams.
