North Middlesex University Hospital is one of London’s busiest acute hospitals, serving more than 350,000 people living in Enfield and Haringey and the surrounding areas, including Barnet and Waltham Forest.

Every day, on average, we see 500 patients in A&E; 15 babies are born in our maternity unit; about 450 inpatients are cared for on our wards; about 50 patients have major or minor surgery in one of our 10 operating theatres; and about 800 people attend our outpatients clinics.

We provide a full range of adult, elderly and children's services across medical and surgical disciplines. Our specialist services include stroke, HIV/AIDS, cardiology (including heart failure care), haematology, diabetes, sleep studies, fertility and orthopaedics. Our sickle cell and thalassaemia department is nationally recognised as a leading centre for these diseases.

Clinical Team Leader

Band 7 – Theatre Scrub Team Leader

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person to lead an experienced scrub team in Main Theatres. We are seeking an experienced, qualified professional with excellent scrub skills and up to date knowledge in Trauma & Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmic, and Emergency Surgery.

You will have the motivation, vision and leadership qualities necessary to lead a successful scrub team. As a key member of the senior team, you will deliver high standards of perioperative care, and have the ability to support and develop scrub practitioners/nurses to facilitate excellent patient care in the main theatre department.

You must be a Registered Nurse (NMC) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with a proven experience and training record within the scrub in above specialties. We offer excellent educational opportunities from in-house study courses to post graduate education.
