Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is one of Europe’s largest and busiest children’s hospitals, providing care for over 200,000 children each year. In addition to the hospital site, we are present at more than 40 community outreach sites. We are the UK’s first Children’s Health Park and are committed to continuing to provide world class specialist services for children and young people across the country for which Alder Hey is internationally recognised.

We are looking to recruit reliable, flexible and caring people into the role of A&E Receptionist on a 6 month fixed term basis into the busy and demanding Emergency Department within the Division of Medicine.

The Emergency Department is a 24/7 environment and has circa 60 000 attendances per year. The team care for children and young people aged 0-16 years who can present with minor illness or injury to major trauma cases. Alder Hey ED is a North West Paediatric Trauma centre.

We are looking for caring, organised and well-motivated people who can empathise with parents and families at a difficult time. The ideal candidates will have excellent customer service experience and be able to work well within a team.

The successful candidates will be required to work flexibly across the department as and when necessary. This will require the candidate to be flexible to work 24/7.
