An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust for experienced clinicians to join our Integrated Urgent Care Service (IUC) as a Senior Clinical Advisor based at St. Leonards, Dorset with potential to under some home working once a desired competence has been achieved. Full training is provided in the use of clinical decision support software (NHS Pathways) with regular updates as well as an annual development day. Our team can also assist with any clinical revalidation needs and all clinical staff with CPD.

Senior Clinical Advisors will undertake such duties as clinical call handling as well as provide support and leadership to NHS 111 Health Advisors as outlined within the job description and person specification. Once competent further training and development will be provided in the form of a Continuous Quality Improvement course to allow them to audit, support peers and undertake the function of the Clinical Team Leader on duty, supporting the multi-disciplinary team where necessary.

Various rota’s are available such as full time (37.5 hours per week), part time (18.75 hours per week) and weekend only relief and can be shared on request.

All candidates must hold a registration with either the HCPC (Paramedic) or NMC (Nurse).
