Quality Manager – Transplant Service

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our Clinical Governance department and take on the responsibility for the implementation and operational delivery of an integrated Quality Management System for the Transplant Service, covering collection, storage, processing, distribution and transplant phases. 

Job Profile: 

The key purpose of this role is to achieve continuous quality improvement in the “5 Areas of Focus” of the London Clinic, ensuring that the transplant service becomes progressively more effective as a Centre of Excellence with policies and standards compliant with both regulatory and accreditation requirements.

  • Job Type:  This is a part-time, permanent position working 3.5 days per week.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with Clinical Directors, Medical Teams, Nursing Teams, Management and Administrative staff to deliver an effective quality management programme with reference to statutory requirements and the systems of accreditation and regulation. Driving the group to formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures
  • Lead on regulatory compliance, accreditation, registration or licensure with: HTA, CQC, JACIE, CPA, MHRA and any other applicable outside bodies. To follow up on external inspections and verify the completion of corrective action as required by the reports of the inspectors
  • Line manage the Stem Cell Transplant Unit Data Manager to oversee reports sent to governing bodies such as EBMT and HTA, audits performed and data collected
  • Lead in monitoring the requirements of The London Clinic users and ensure that they are reflected within well-defined quality performance measures such as Key Performance Indicators. Collating and analysing performance data against defined parameters

Skills & Experience

  • 3 years or more as a Quality Manager
  • 3 years or more in the Haematology/Oncology / Transplantation field
  • Internal auditing
  • 1 year or more in use/administration of electronic QMS system
  • BSc (Biological Sciences or related)
  • Professional Registration
