Job Summary

The post holder is an experienced advanced paramedic practitioner / experienced paramedic looking to expand their scope of practice into primary care, who acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care.

Expectations to fit or working towards the criteria to become a non- medical prescriber.

They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the general practice and their own clinical capabilities. They will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients and supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

They will undertake home visits for patients who have urgent care needs on the day.

They will work with the GP’s to arrange prescriptions for patients who require them.
