Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) provides integrated community and mental health, learning disability and social care services of the highest standard due to our continued commitment to quality and service improvement. We aim to support people of all ages to achieve the very best they can for their health and well being. To ensure that we achieve this goal we look to recruit candidates of a high calibre that share our passion for delivering excellent service user care, research and education.

Northamptonshire has been running Multisystemic Therapy (MST) since January 2013. We now have two well established teams reflecting the demand for this highly successful service. We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Multisystemic (MST) Therapist to join our MST Team, based in Angel Street, Northampton.

MST is a well-researched community-based model directed at young people who are at risk of going in to care or of being involved in criminal activity. The MST Team will work together with the young person, their families and other systems such as school and youth offending. Interested colleagues may find relevant information on the MST Services website.

We are seeking colleagues with a background in social work, Youth Offending, mental health, psychology or nursing to implement Multisystemic Therapy. Duties include assessment, treatment and collaborating with families, youth and community agency staff. Therapists will function as part of an MST team and will participate in weekly team supervision and consultation. Periodical on-call 24 hour coverage will be required. Specific experience in behaviourally orientated intervention approaches with families preferred. You should hold a degree level qualification with substantial relevant experience.

Interviews for this post will include a range of assessment and interview techniques. Therefore please allow for full day attendance. Interviews are currently scheduled to be held on Friday 5th July 2019.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. This post is open to professionals with the right attributes to enhance a team. If you are unable to attend an interview on the suggested date, please let us know on your application form as other options may be available.

CPFT is looking to build upon its pool of temporary workers with Temporary Staffing Services (TSS). You will be asked at interview if you would be willing to register with TSS. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to take on additional hours that are flexible around their personal circumstances.

Internal CPFT applicants who are currently ‘at risk’ and who meet the essential criteria will be given prior consideration over other candidates who apply for this post. If you are ‘at risk’ please make it clear on your application so you receive priority consideration.
