An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident, motivated, forward thinking and dynamic senior midwife to join the Trust as an Advanced Practitioner for the Fetal Medicine Unit.

In undertaking the Advanced Practitioner post within the Fetal Medicine Unit, you will be responsible for the furthering of midwifery and medical practice, research and care in your area of expertise. As an expert midwife you will have extensive theoretical and practical knowledge and experience of the clinical skills needed within a modern maternity care setting (with relating to the use of ultrasound) and thus will facilitate the advancement of midwifery practice and teaching. You will act as the clinical midwifery lead to the population of pregnant women attending the FMU. You will work closely with Obstetric and Midwifery teams, the Senior Midwifery team, the University of Birmingham and research groups.
