THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

 

Passionate about midwifery? Want to use all of your midwifery skills? Then Powys maternity services may well be the place for you.
Due to exciting developments within the service we are looking for motivated midwives to join our midwifery team in North Powys.

This post is based in North Powys within our North Powys team. We are looking for a fixed term band 5 or 6 midwife to work 30 hours per week in our Welshpool team. The post will be for 12 months.

 

A full preceptorship package will be available for Band 5 midwives. We also offer a comprehensive induction package for Band 6 midwives. Please specify on the application form which post you will be applying for.

You will be joining a service with one of the highest home birth rates in Wales, a high physiological birth rate and the highest breastfeeding rates in Wales and will also support women choosing to use one of our 6 free standing birth centres, 5 of which provide water birth facilities.
You will provide and coordinate antenatal and postnatal care for both midwife-led and consultant-led women.

As a service we are also passionate about supporting midwives to be the best they can and you will have the opportunity to access award winning training and support during your employment.

The ability to speak Welsh for this post is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
