Shipston Medical Centre is looking to recruit a caring and compassionate person to work within their friendly and patient focussed clinical team. The role incorporates taking blood, blood pressures and ECGS, undertaking wound care, leg ulcer compression bandaging, audiogram tests, giving vaccinations and supporting patients in improving their health and wellbeing through making lifestyle changes.

Full training can be provided for the right candidate – someone friendly, diligent, organised, detail focussed and able to work independently within their competencies.

The role could be undertaken by a Nursing Associate or a Health Care Assistant, recognising that a Nursing Associate would be able to work at a higher level than a HCA and would also be asked to undertake other tasks, such as cytology sample taking.

The practice requires 35.5 hours each week (job share would be considered). The times of work are somewhat negotiable but due to restricted clinical space any candidate must be able to start work at 8am. Ideal hours of work are 8am – 1pm Monday to Friday; 2pm – 5 pm on 3 days a week and 6.30pm to 8pm on a Thursday.

If you would like to lern more about the role please phone the practice on 01608 661845 and ask to speak to Rachel Vial, Practice Manager or Corinne Beirne, Nurse Manager.

Interview date: Wednesday 3rd July 2019, in the morning.
