The Surgery and Critical Care Division at Sheffield Children’s NHS FT provides a range of secondary, tertiary and national services for children, including all Paediatric Surgical sub-specialties, Theatres, Critical Care, Acute and Chronic Pain as well as Paediatric and Neonatal transport.

Due to maternity leave there is an exciting opportunity to join the team on a fixed term basis as Deputy Divisional Manager covering Surgical Services and Theatres.

Whilst having primary responsibility for their respective area, the post holder will have Division-wide responsibility for a range of functions including efficiency, service development, performance, planning, contracting and workforce management. Working with the Head of Nursing the post holder will have responsibility to ensure that services in their respective areas are delivered to the highest standards.

Successful candidates will exemplify the Trust values and will have significant experience of managing all aspects of complex clinical services and delivery of challenging efficiency targets whilst safeguarding service quality. They will embody compassionate leadership and will be able to manage significant workloads to tight deadlines.

Interviews are planned for 2nd July 2019.

This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
