We are the largest provider of NHS services across the County of Cumbria. Around 3500 staff operate 60 community and mental health services from over 20 main sites and many other premises shared with other health or community services such as GP surgeries. In any one year we see around one fifth of the population providing health care services to people in Cumbria, from newborn babies to care of the frail and elderly. Our services are organised into care groups, designed to put clinicians in control of decision making with patients and carers so that services are run by experts in the clinical area.

We are looking for a Clinical Service Facilitator to work with us in the Physical Health and Rehabilitation Psychology Service (PHRPS). This a twelve month temporary post which has the potential to become permanent.

The PHRPS is looking for a Clinical Services Facilitator to provide leadership for the administration team to support the team in operationalising high quality systems and processes to ensure a safe, effective and efficient service. We are continuing to expand our services to be able to support more patients in our community; helping people to self-manage their conditions (and symptoms) and support in improving their quality of life.

The Physical Health Psychology and Rehabilitation Services (PHRPS) are dynamic and constantly evolving, delivering psychological care across Cumbria to patients with a wide range of physical health problems. You will work alongside Clinical, Health, Counselling and neuropsychologists, Specialist Psychological Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, CBT Therapists, Wellbeing Activators and Living Well Coaches. A core value of the PHRP service is also to deliver evidence based, and well respected, training across the Cumbria Health community in Psychological skills for long term conditions and cancer.

On a day to day basis – the post holder will provide Clinical Leadership to our admin team and will also contribute to activities involving talking to patients on the phone, arranging appointments and updating patient records. You will also undertake a full range of admin duties, including maintaining diaries, liaising with patients, arranging team meetings and the agendas for these as required, as well as business support as needed. The post holder will have experience of leading on change and service/ quality improvements with a proven track record of positive outcomes.

You will also have experience of dealing with confidential information, experience of working in the NHS or similar setting/large organisation and experience of dealing with people over the telephone. For other details have a look at our job description.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
