Our Trust is a great place to work and we are keen to ensure that all our employees have the right values in order that we can provide the best service to our patients. Worcestershire is a diverse county, boasting great transport networks to Birmingham and the rest of the UK, picturesque countryside and a rich history. Worcester city is voted the happiest city to live in and ranks in the top 3 for safety and friendliness.

Worcestershire Health and Care Trust is an innovative and creative place to work. Care and support of patients, their families and staff are at the heart of the organisation’s values.

Following investment, the Older Adult Mental Health Service is expanding and developing its team. The service has low attrition rates and has aims to work together with patients, their families, colleagues and the wider community for outstanding care, enabling older people to live well and thrive.

We are welcoming new staff to join us to develop our Dementia Diagnostics and Support Team. This supportive, nationally recognised team are currently looking at new permanent ways to develop the service to reduce the waits for patients but also to maintain the high quality service we offer to our patients and their families through the journey of diagnosis and post diagnostic support. We are therefore looking for both permanent and temporary staffing to help us to reduce our waiting times while we plan our longer term future team.

The service accepts referrals for individuals of any age and is a countywide service. The role of the nurse is integral to the service pathway which includes pre-diagnostic counselling, assessment, diagnosis and post diagnostic support. The team is multi-disciplinary team with a culture of development, training and supervision.

You will need to have a flexible attitude, have good time management and be able to work autonomously as part of a very busy, but supportive team. Car driver is essential.
