In 2002 Inclusion was created as part of the award winning South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, now known as Midlands Partnership Foundation NHS Trust. It was developed to provide evidence based innovative services to beneficiaries across England with the flexibility to provide local solutions to local communities but with the governance and commitment to quality of the NHS.

Successful in its endeavors, Inclusion has grown to both substance misuse and mental health services in the community, residential and prisons. Employing over 500 staff, including Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Drug & Alcohol Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors and Volunteers. We provide services to in excess of 19,000 services users per annum across the Home Counties, Midlands, East of England up to the North of England.

The range of services we provide allows us to work with our service users in prisons, extending this into community settings, tackling both substance misuse and mental health concerns. We are growing our employment advice team in line with the developing mental health provision across Thurrock.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled person who can be creative and sensitive while supporting our clients back into the work place or support those who are already in employment to both maintain their roles and to thrive.

This role is part of an innovative new employment advice service , aligned and working closely with Inclusion Thurrock Services and Recovery College to support people with mental health problems with employment needs. Evidence based supported employment, Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is the model being developed and the post holder, will be instrumental in its design and implementation guided by the IPS lead and supported by the Recovery College Lead.

The post holder will support service users under CPA as part of their clinical care package to gain, return to or retain employment. The role will involve working directly with Care coordinators, Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions, world of work and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities. You will work closely with practitioners in Thurrock Community Mental Health teams, Recovery College as well as more specialist services such as Early Intervention in Psychosis and other secondary care services serving Thurrock. This is an exciting partnership between a number of NHS providers and local voluntary sector, keen to make a real difference to the vocational outcomes of people accessing our services.
