The Trust is seeking to appoint a whole time equivalent consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist to join a well-established community multidisciplinary team (MDT) in FRESH CAMHS. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded clinical service, leading on therapeutic interventions to children, young people and their families and providing clinical consultation to a wide range of professional partners.

The post holder will be based within Fresh CAMHS Liverpool - a community based specialist mental health and emotional well-being service for children and young people (0-18 years),their families and the systems they access.  We offer a range of therapies and multi-modal interventions to help children and young people who have a complex mental health or learning disability requiring intervention from a multi-disciplinary team.  As part of a wider CAMHS system that offers interventions and consultation across Tier 1 and 2, Fresh CAMHS Liverpool focuses on providing mental health care to children and young people with high risk presentations and whose daily functioning is severely compromised.

Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is a one of the biggest paediatric hospitals in Europe.  It is also a major centre for undergraduate and post-graduate teaching.  Alder Hey provides national, regional and local services.
