ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental and health care, innovation and improvement. So it is a very exciting time for you to come and work for us. Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

The Speech and Language Therapy team in Newham continues to expand. We are looking for a therapist, looking to specialise in working in Early Years, to join our dynamic childrens speech and language therapy department in Newham, East London. Within the Early Years Team, the caseload is varied, and we work over community clinics, nurseries and Children's Centres. The role will involve assessments, therapy interventions and reviews as well as contributing to service development and highlighting needs.
We are part of a multi-disciplinary therapies team who work together to deliver a high quality service for the children of Newham and their families.
Within the team, there are specialist and highly specialist therapists who provide support and in-house training, and multi-disciplinary working is encouraged.
Newham is in the heart of Londons East End with excellent transport links with the rest of London and Essex. The childrens speech and language therapy service has a strong multi-agency work ethic with other services both within the trust and with partner agencies, and offers services across a wide range of care groups in the borough. All posts include working with SLT bilingual co-workers in Newhams diverse and culturally rich community as well as Speech and Language Therapy assistants.
This post is for a fixed term period of a year. If you have excellent interpersonal skills, awareness and sensitivity to the needs of clients from a range of ethnic and linguistic backgrounds and are willing and able to work flexibly, we would like to hear from you.
