Waste Operative


Chelsea site, Band 3 Full Time 37.5 hours per week


Waste Management is part of the Trust’s Facilities Directorate. The Department manages all waste on both the Trust’s Chelsea and Sutton sites and is responsible for ensuring all hospital waste is stored, transported, disposed of and reported in line with waste legislation. The Waste Operative is responsible for the day-to-day management and auditing of the waste service provided in part by a third party contractor and will work closely with the Waste Manager to ensure the highest level of service is upheld for staff, patients and members of the public.


The position will be based at our Chelsea (SW3) site but the successful candidate may be required to visit all Trust locations as required. You will be have a positive, friendly and proactive can-do attitude, able to lift and move heavy items and be computer literate.
