Are you an experienced Administrator or Personal Assistant looking for a new challenge?


We are looking for an Administrator / Personal Assistant to come and join our Medical Education Team based at the Royal Brompton Hospital London. Reporting to the Medical Education Manager, you will act as a Personal Assistant to the Director of Medical Education, being the point of contact, coordinating meetings and collating material for key meetings. You will also provide general administration cover to the department.


Key Responsibilities;


  1. To carry out administrative duties to provide an efficient and effective administrative service to the Department of Medical Education and the Director of Medical Education based at Royal Brompton Hospital and on occasions at the Harefield site.


  1. To liaise with doctors in training, department managers, educational and clinical supervisors and external organisations where necessary to facilitate the work of the Medical Education Department.


  1. Preparing of correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, and course advertising materials.


  1. To assist in setting up education programmes for the Trust as directed.
  2. To arrange meetings and take minutes as appropriate.
  3. To provide receptionist and clerical cover for the CSSC and the STAR centre when necessary.


  1. Work flexible hours occasionally, which may include an early morning start or a late evening meeting.



About You

You will be an excellent communicator, both internally and externally at all levels of the business and have exceptional organisation and administration skills. You will be someone who can problem solve quickly and effectively.


We are also looking for:

  • High level of computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Ability to work on own initiative and be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times

  • Strong attention to detail in all work carried out, with a positive, solution orientated approach

  • Can work collaboratively and build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience of Administrative or secretarial practices; and / or evidence of training in office administration, clerical or secretarial duties preferably in a healthcare setting.
