An opportunity has arisen for a full time and part time ward clerk to join Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Wing.

We are looking for experienced, motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team. The Sainsbury Wing is a 26 bedded busy mixed speciality covering a wide range of specialities.

The areas have an established team of experienced nurses and allied health professionals. We care for patients undergoing complex surgeries, out - patient chemotherapy and managing patients’ symptoms caused by their treatment or cancer.

The post holders should possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with the wider multidisciplinary team, and have a positive approach to customer care. The candidate will also require good telephone communication skills and be able to work on multiple tasks during the day. You will be able to demonstrate a professional, sensitive manner, the ability to prioritise and have good organisational skills to ensure that the ward runs smoothly. Computer skills are essential for this post as electronic records are used extensively. Experience of collection of data for audit purposes is desirable.

The job will also entail managing patient notes, preparing notes and filing patient paperwork. This will involve patient confidentiality and the post holder will have access for training for this.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an established team with a diverse patient group and with a great potential for educational and administrative development.

The post is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday and with a second post which is a part-time contract of 15 hours per week, working from 08:00 to 16:00 2 days a week.
