Acute Medicine are seeking outstanding individuals to join the current team of enthusiastic and forward-thinking Band 5 staff nurses within this rapidly developing specialty.

This opportunity will give you personal, focused development in acute medicine and will provide you with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and competencies as an Acute Medicine nurse.

We have robust preceptorship programme that supports newly qualified and new to the Trust nurses and a developmental programme that equips all nurses with the fundamental competencies in basic care and extended roles. We have close ties with our clinical skills lab and training and education department to develop our nurses to degree and Masters level.

The unit is well supported by the medical sub-specialities, diagnostics and critical care, emergency care and surgical divisions. We are offering full and part-time posts and are dedicated to health and well-being of staff. All substantive positions will be rotational day and nights, we have a variety of shift patterns from 12 hour shifts to 6.25 hour shifts specific to supporting patient flow and acuity. However, we are committed to Trust flexible working policy and have our own health and wellbeing lead.

We are therefore inviting applications for Band 5 qualified nurses who are seeking to expand their knowledge and skills within Acute medicine.
