The Directorate of Perioperative Medicine is going through some exciting changes to support the highest quality of care to our patients and we want you on our team. This is an exciting time to join Wirral University Teaching Hospital.

Wirral University Teaching Hospital is seeking to recruit perioperative leaders of the future to join the directorate of perioperative medicine leadership team. Our 22 operating theatres are across three sites delivering a wide variety of specialism to patients of the Wirral Peninsula and beyond.

We are looking to find motivated, experienced theatre nurses or ODPs who want to develop into the next leaders. The Senior Theatre Nurse/ODP will provide visible leadership within the clinical area of responsibility supporting the patients perioperative pathway.

The potential post holder will report directly to their theatre speciality lead working in close partnership with other leaders in theatres to support efficient, safe and a quality service to patients. The post holder will provide strong leadership, and be a visible, credible senior presence. Evening, weekend and night duty will be required for some of the posts.

This post is open to both NMC registered Nurses and HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioners. We are looking for a highly motived, passionate health care professional who possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to motivate and negotiate and is passionate about perioperative care.. This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period in line with trust policy.
