An exciting opportunity has arisen in Lambeth CAMHS, based at 35 Black Prince Road. We are looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor on a one year fixed term contract to support the well-established medical team based within the service. This is a brand new post created due to an injection of funding to the service.

Lambeth CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, Nursing Staff and Social Workers. We provide psychological and therapeutic support to children and adolescents with a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety and psychosis. We also manage ADHD and autism or intellectual disability with associated emotional or mental health needs or challenging behaviour.

We offer a range of direct and indirect evidence-based interventions with young people, their families and professional networks. This includes (but isn’t limited to) pharmacological interventions, CBT, DBT, psychotherapy and psychoeducation.

The post holder will take on a caseload of young people requiring psychiatric assessment and management under the supervision of the consultant. They will be encouraged to engage fully with the MDT and take on an active medical leadership role within the service.
