Band 8A substantive post based predominantly in East Sussex

This is an unusual and exciting opportunity for an experienced community CAMHS clinician to continue the development of the service we offer to Bowden House a specialist residential school for boys aged 9-16 with complex behavioural issues in Seaford, East Sussex. The service has to date been a 3 days per week post, so this increase represents a chance to further develop innovative and flexible ways of working away from the clinic environment

We are looking for good communicators with energy, motivation and enthusiasm; the ability to work with individuals and families with complex difficulties and to work effectively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency contexts; flexibility of approach; commitment to evidence-based practice; and, the pursuit of the highest possible quality of service. It is also important that you have experience of providing consultation to school staff and of multi-agency working.

Tower Hamlets CAMHS are committed to providing high quality services for our children and young people. In conjunction with partners in commissioning, health, social care and education, we are designing an outcome-based service where all provider agencies will work together to provide the highest quality service to our clients.

The service embraces continual improvement and the staff and management team have a high degree of enthusiasm for quality improvement.
This is a challenging, exciting and deeply rewarding job and we look forward to hearing from candidates who have the qualifications and experience to work in a busy and sometimes challenging Tier 3 CAMHS, and who want to extend their experience and knowledge of working in specialised and innovative ways.

The post may suit a candidate based in East Sussex and willing to commute one day per week to Tower Hamlets during term time. We would encourage all short-listed candidates to contact Bowden House School to arrange a visit before the interviews, which will take place in Tower Hamlets.
