District Nurse/Senior Community Nurse

Band: 6

Salary: £30,401-£37,267

Hours: 37.5 hours - Full-time Hours

Location: Stroud Locality

Contract: Permanent and Fixed Term

We are looking for caring and compassionate Senior Community Nurses or District Nurses who are looking for change, a new challenge and career development. As a Registered Nurse with a graduate qualification in a health related subject and significant post-registration community experience, or the Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing you will lead a community nursing team within a multi professional environment.

To excel in this role you will require excellent communication skills, the courage to make decisions which will help shape future care and a willingness to develop your potential. You will require current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse, a sound knowledge of evidence based care and best practice, evidence of post-registration development and community nursing experience, plus the ability to work over a shift system which includes early and late shifts across seven days including weekends and Bank Holidays.

We are a fully integrated service working with MDT colleagues in clusters to deliver care around the placed based model fit for the future. This will be an exciting time to join Gloucestershire Care Services as you will be assisting with the implementation of a New Model of Patient Care.

We are a modern trust which means whilst on the go you will be equipped for mobile working (using a laptop and smart phone device); not only is this safer because you will have access to all patient information at your fingertips, it also means you can complete records and any other patient paperwork in real time, so you can then focus all your attention on your next patient.
