The dietetic team at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 dietitian to join the team. It is an ideal position for those who are newly qualified wishing to gain experience and develop their skills in all areas of acute medical care.

You will be joining a team of dietitians and two dietetic assistants who together cover all clinical areas of the hospital including medical, surgical, renal, stroke, care of the elderly, paediatrics, gastroenterology and cardiothoracics. The job remit is to ensure that patients’ nutritional and dietetic needs are addressed either through direct one to one intervention, or by working with the multidisciplinary team. You will be required to manage your own caseload working alongside 3 other Band 5 dietitians.

We are committed to supporting the ongoing personal and professional development of our staff and offer excellent training and development opportunities. We are base trainers for student dietitians. The Dietetic Service is an integral part of the Trustwide Therapy Directorate and you will work closely with other Therapy colleagues as part of a wider Therapy Team.

You will be pleasantly surprised by the area, and travel could not be easier with excellent road and rail links to the M25, A127, A13 and A12. Train journey for London takes 35 minutes.
